Adrian Mole: the Cappuccino Years is a British television series which was first aired on BBC One in 2001. The series was based on the fifth book from the Adrian Mole series, The Cappuccino Years. The series was produced by Tiger Aspect/Little Dancer Production for the BBC.

Continuation of the rites of passage comedy drama about spotty teenager Adrian Mole. Set in the early 1980s, Adrian's mother and father are back together but while they are trying for a baby, they discover that his dad's ex-lover is also pregnant.

Players working as a team complete a series of difficult physical and psychological tests, each worth a set amount of money. One of the players, however, is a "Mole" or saboteur, whose goal is to foil the efforts of the other players without revealing his or her identity. At the end of each episode, the group is given a quiz on The Mole's identity. The player who knows the least information about The Mole is then immediately sent home. In the final episode, The Mole is revealed and the one remaining player wins the jackpot, up to $1,000,000.

When an important cache of seized heroin is stolen from a regional customs depot and two officers left dead, it becomes clear that there is a mole within the customs services. Commandant Sandra Longo, of internal affairs, is dispatched from Paris to unmask the traitor.

Victor is a journalist, his wife Vanessa is in health care writing a thesis on how some women use sex to get what they want. One morning she tells him he's stopped listening to her, stopped trying to figure out her needs, and hasn't satisfied her for months. At a bar two hours later, a seductive married women, whom he nicknames Cappuccino, comes onto him, inviting him to play a game. She gives him a phone number missing the last digit, meets him in an abandoned house, appears in his shower while Vanessa's at work: soon he's obsessed even as Vanessa tries to regain his attention. When Cappuccino shows up with a black eye, Victor decides her abusive husband must be stopped.

The story is told through the eyes of Max, a stand-up comedian and taxi driver, who gets involved in a blackmail case and lands in prison. Max uses his time in prison to tell the story of his friends' lives. He also writes a script for himself and the other four actors, with unexpected results.

A mole lad with sensitive vision is allowed outside to play in the daylight on the condition that he stay close to home. Outdoors, he meets a traveling sales-skunk.

Shortly before his wedding, Manfred, a young farmer, travels to Vienna to look for a friend who owes him 80,000 shillings. During the course of a most unusual and succinctly comic odyssey he meets Gina, a girl from Italy. An Austrian road movie containing a Babel of languages.
